We have been trawling the south west of France, from the Correze to the coast to find some unusual and unique antique French treasures for you.
Now as we are finally officially into summer here and everyone is thinking about gardening and living outdoors. The scent of barbecues perfumes the air every evening and so we thought this would be the ideal time to give you a small gift.
With every order placed in our Etsy shop this weekend we are giving away a free set of five French Hazel Herb Marking Sticks. Each stick is handmade here in the Charente Maritime using our own aged and seasoned hazel sticks from our own trees. Each stick measures approx. 35cms long although this can vary as each is individual and no two are ever exactly the same.
What’s more you do not have to have the five herbs shown here, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, Thyme and Oregano. Let us know your preferred choice of herbs and we will make them to order as per each individual request. (Written in French of course!) Just click HERE or on any of the highlighted links.
The sun is shining here, the temperature is lovely, the children are nearly all on summer holidays, Millie has finished her Baccalaureate, and has therefore officially graduated from High School and the puppies are causing mayhem; LIFE IS GOOD! This is just so YOU…. (as a family). Making herb markers from your culled noisettier shrub…. bravo – glorious idea and beautifully done!
Last week, HH ‘constructed’ a few ‘hold my plants upright’ sticks from very vigorously growing weeds, don’t know the name but if you wait 2-3 months, they are so high that they make fab canes for not to heavy plants! ‘Recycling’ of the best.
